Park on Fremont - Las Vegas
After a light dinner we ventured into a cozy little spot called Park on Fremont. At the corner of Fremont Street and and Las Vegas Blvd, this prime location serves up comfort and style in such a harmonious fashion, you forget about the droves of tourists and cabbies right outside the door.
Adorned with stuffed pheasants and dark, yet alluring art framed along a hall of Victorian wallpaper, the interior isn't even the best part. Through the back door you'll find yourself in an actual backyard, equipped with mismatched patio furniture, a fireplace, and strings of lights from corner to corner. Oh yeah, and an adult sized seesaw.
We sat down at the copper bar top and opted for what seemed to be their take on an old fashioned. This tasty treat consisted of a simple mix of Irish whiskey, honey, fresh squeezed lemon, and
finished with a brandied cherry. Certainly not one those funky maraschinos that taste like formaldehyde and syrup. It delivered a warm and simple punch with a smooth hint of citrus. If you want a spot to relax after hours any day of the week, Park is that spot. Did I mention they have a full menu?
